Welcome to the Clarenceville High School website and Mr. Nelson's profile page.
I am proud to be the Principal of Clarenceville High School, home of the Trojans. Our theme for 2014-2015 is Every Day Counts! Every Student, Every Teacher, Every Hour, Every Day!
I have taught in the Clarenceville School district for 22 years, teaching in all 4 buildings, serving as Assistant Principal at Clarenceville High School for seven years, and now as Principal beginning in July 2014.
After earning my Bachelors degree in Music Education from Luther College, I taught in Iowa for two years, then moved to Michigan and began my career in Clarenceville. During my tenure in Clarenceville, I earned my Masters Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership from Oakland University.
When I'm not at Clarenceville, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Kari, and my three children, Haley (18), Hannah (15), and Ryan (10). As a family, we have fun traveling and camping, making music together, and performing on stage in community theater productions. I also enjoy cheering on my Iowa Hawkeyes, Detroit Tigers, and reading.
During my career at Clarenceville, my focus on what is best for students has remained the same. High expectations for all, building relationships and establishing a positive school climate will lead us to success at Clarenceville.
